Recognizing the dearth in local reporting and it's negative impact on local communities, Report for America emerged with the goal of placing talented emerging journalists in local newsrooms across the nation to report on under-served issues and communities. They reached out to us looking to create a digital hub that could serve their three main audiences – rising journalists, newsroom partners, and potential supporters. A key goal was to provide clear information to each group with a direct path to partnering or applying – while also showcase the impactful work that the corp members have accomplished to date to inspire new recruits and supporters.
